TechieRide — for a better society

About

It started with a shared ride.

Four techies, commuting from Meerpet to HITEC City every day, decided to carpool.

The reason was ordinary: fuel is expensive and four cars going the same way is three cars too many. What was less ordinary is what happened to the group afterwards.

The car filled up. Then a second car. Then a rule — you join on the reference of someone already riding — and with it a structure: a representative for every forty members, so that a community of hundreds still behaves like a group of colleagues.

People who share a car every morning end up sharing other things. A blood request. A school that needs books. A union of auto drivers with no work during a lockdown.
